Final Reflection...

What was the biggest learning you took from this paper?
Well the biggest thing i learned from this paper, is your opinion does count and not to be passive about it. Our team worked really well in the fact that if we disagreed we compromised to the best ability that we could. Most of the time it worked and I felt that as a team we worked really well together. I really enjoyed this paper also because it gave us lots a freedom to manipulate the brief and that no idea is to big... you just may have to focus on one part for a 6 week project.

What aspect of your project are you most happy with?
I find this question quite hard in the fact that I like our whole idea and execution of the project as whole, I would like to see the website with more refinement and being more usable. I had so many ideas for it but just not enough time to execute them. I also think the landing video we all would've loved to be a bit more natural, we were happy with the end because all our other one seemed a bit static and the last was more casual. BUT overall I loved our idea and loved the execution.

What would you differently?
Currently I'm not sure what I would do different, Maybe the fact that we used ourselves a lot in the brief, and in the photography a lot. I think i would ask to get more people into that aspect so its not repeated throughout the project.

Week 12

Wow what a week it has been! So many things have come together the website, the video, and the box! Which to looks amazing! I feel its become such a cohesive flow.
On Monday we all worked separately to get all our stuff finished and met up tuesday in class, I finished the tweaks (since I wanted the girls feedback before invisioning it) to the website, Lauren had finished the videos, And all Sam had to do was put the box together and then adding all the final pieces within it. Tuesday we started the dossier and get all the stuff into that.

Wednesday... I met Sam before Creative enterprise and did some work, after that we printed of the stuff for the box. We had a bit of stress with that because the piece of paper we where using kept jamming. So I told Sam I would just get it printed at work.

Thursday was a big day for us, Sam had assembled the box, and I had gone out to work at 8:30 to get the labels and the business cards, and the flyer printed. the paper jammed there but instead i just paid and got it on 250gsm matte and 300gsm gloss (giving the girls some options) then headed home for when the girls came over.

Sam arrived and cut down the card so we could put it in the box and photograph it for the dossier. Lauren then arrived and then we photographed and then sent the dossier to be printed, Next was the presentation.

We all decided to start our presentation as a video and then having the slides. I really liked that we did it this way because it felt really organic and it processed really well, not awkward pauses in the middle. Lauren did the video and she did an awesome job of it and Sam did the speech since she is an amazing writer, and well I did little bits and things... supplied dinner and was the comedy the girls were sick of looking at screen. I felt a bit useless at this time since I couldn't really do anything and I wasn't kinda needed apart from giving feedback. After that had been done we all rehearsed and times our speech to be 4 mins. We started with 4;30 but wanted it to be 4, we trimmed it and managed to cut the 30secs of which was great... lets just hope that it stays like that for presentation!

Week 11

So Monday was great we got the filming done for the video done in one which is absolutely fantastic and thankfully we had such a wonderfull sunny day for it to.

Tuesday was write off for me, because I was absolutely stressed for my enterprise class, since my team was doing nothing and I was working on the dossier for that which was due the next day. I said sorry to girls and that I would be getting on with stuff after that was completed. The girls were working on dossier content and video scripts and I would give feedback on that while I was working on the enterprise dossier.

Thursday the girls cam over to mine to doing the videos film, Sam was first to arrive and Sam worked on the flyer and business cards, we initially had a landscape card and then we looked up some ideas to make them a bit different. Then I came across a portrait one we thought could really work for us, since of our scrolling website and it rally just seemed to fit.
I continued to work on the website, and was starting to get stuck in a rut with design wise. When Lauren arrived thats when we reshot for our landing video to the website.

Friday was a rough day for me because I ended up having the worst cold, and hay fever rolled into one. I was a miserable wreck which was effecting both Sam and Lauren. I tried my best and trucked through doing some stuff for the website but didn't get far since I was blowing my nose the whole time, and then soon enough it was time for me to head of to work.

Week 10

What a week that was!

So tuesday was an eventful day because we finally made our 3d hologram in a god quality from some help at the industrial building (they are super helpful there). The website is moving along and everything seems to be trucking along nicely.

Then on friday we had supercrit and wow what a mixed bag of feedback that was! We where told by a few people that the hologram idea came across as a bit gimmicky and we shouldn't need that for the good idea that we had. SO well we as a team decided to drop, much to our disappointment, but we could definitely see why it came across that way.

Then we had to bounce back from that and decided now on not just one video but 2! So filming for those are planned for monday! and hopefully that goes all well! :)

Week 9

Week 9 we are currently getting on with work and trying to get on, Sam came in with her boxes and we settled on a style for it, the website is moving along but has changed from what we initially prototyped as I felt it was complicated and that our whole business is about making it super simple for the client to use get information easy enough from us.

We had exchange this week, but I wasn't able to make it because I was urgently needed at work that day.

Week 8

This week before Tuesday class we met up to get work done for interim. Since we pretty much had just settled on our idea we had to come up with a way for us to be different and how we would get our message across. So we came up with a quick intro video, a rough prototype of the website, and our pitch.

On the Tuesday we pitched everything to Jason and he said to us to make what our project to have a point of difference to the competition. So we ideated and researched other people who are doing different things. At this point we where bursting with ideas for point of difference and asking people how they would react to it.

We all settled on sending a package to the potential client as way to get them on board, we asked w few people if they would respond positively to it or not. Most people said they would prefer a physical package to arrive rather than a boring email.

THE next for us was developing a logo for our 'business' this we all seemed to like something but we didn't always agree which at sometime could be frustrating but also left us wondering if we would even agree on anything.

On the Friday we all finally agreed on the logo which was absolutely brilliant and let us all sigh in relief that we all agreed on it, event the colour palette we had a bit of struggle with agreeing on.

After that we where all set with tasks, Lauren would focus on videos, sam the packaging, and I the website design.

Week 7

Lauren and I came back to uni after week six with a presentation for class, since our whole brief was about making connections for young people, we chose to do our presentation on a Coca Cola campaign which was about coke bottle that where put around universities and the only way to open is was if you got another person to hold a bottle and unscrew it at the same time.

After presenting these, I was talking to Sam and she was telling me how she was struggling with the brief that she had been given. Since Lauren and I were working together already I asked Sam if she wanted to join us. Hoping Lauren would be okay with it. Thankfully she was all good with and I think we thought it would be best because Sam would bring a new perspective to the group and brief, that Lauren and I had been working on for the last six weeks.
